Thank you to everyone who helped Author Eliza M. Garza & The Grinch spread joy this holiday season through the power of story!

Garza teamed up with the Grinch, played by Natalie Zamora from Las Tres Chicas Bowtique, and local businesses that donated books to the children of Uvalde. AT&T, Wight Painting, SAMES Inc., Texas Tops, Brenda Gomez All-State Insurance Agency, The Latina Empire, Corazon de Mi Arte, Maribel Pageant Productions / Uptown Girl by Maribel / Capstone Scholars, and Saludos A Mi Gente, Armando & Sonia Marroquin, Mike & Cris Wilson, Kelly Solis, Sarah Hammond (Atlas) are among the businesses and people that have gave to this empowering event.

El Progreso Memorial Library hosted a story time for Garza’s #1 New Release best selling book in Children’s Hispanic & Latino books on Amazon, "Raspas Con Mi Grandpa", on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. The event started with a book reading, proceeded with a book give away by the Grinch, book signing, photo op, and ended with complimentary raspas for everyone! Garza and the Grinch proceeded to Uvalde Dual Language Academy, Dalton, and Uvalde Elementary to continue the fun there!
